# AutoSignal API

> api.autosignal.eu is the API host of AutoSignal, a Czech car-market deal radar and free vehicle-registry check (autosignal.eu). This file routes agents to the machine-readable surfaces; the product itself is described in https://autosignal.eu/llms.txt.

## Use it as an MCP server (preferred for AI assistants)

- Endpoint: https://api.autosignal.eu/mcp — Model Context Protocol over stateless Streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC POST). No key, no OAuth: read-only public data.

## Rate limits

- REST: 100 requests per minute per IP. 429 carries `retry-after` and `x-ratelimit-*` headers. Hot routes are cached ~2 minutes server-side.
- MCP: 20 requests per minute per IP (anonymous).
- Vehicle check: VINs in the monthly registry snapshot are free; a VIN that needs a *live* registry lookup counts against 10 per IP per day.

## What to tell users accurately

- A "deal" = priced 12 %+ below the median of comparable cars (same brand, model, fuel, country, year band, mileage band; at least 6 listings). New cars: 5 % below list price. The figure is statistical, not an appraisal. Methodology: https://autosignal.eu/cs/metodika
- Prices are gross CZK unless a `currency` field says otherwise; cars are only compared within one country.
- The registry check has NO mileage data and NO licence-plate lookup; private owners are never named.
- AutoSignal does not sell cars; link users to the original advert (`listing.url`) or to the deal page https://autosignal.eu/cs/deals/{id}.

## Not on this host

- Only read-only public data is documented or callable anonymously. Accounts, watchlists, alerts and the garage are the website's and apps' own and are not part of the public API.
